A Season to Receive: Letting God Love You Fully

Hey Y’all,
If the last blog was about finding faith in the stillness, this one is about receiving in the stillness.
Because lately, I’ve realized that even in this quiet “well season,” God hasn’t stopped moving, He’s just been moving differently. Slower. Softer. More intentionally. I used to think this season was about waiting, but really, it’s been about learning to receive.
I think God has me here so He can love me more deeply, so that I can finally stop striving, stop fixing, stop rescuing, and just let Him be my everything.
God’s Been Loving Me Through People
I’ll be honest: at first, this season made me anxious. I’m so used to being the one pouring out that I didn’t know how to handle people wanting to pour into me. I found myself overthinking every text, every invite, wondering, “What do they want?”
But God gently reminded me “They don’t want anything, daughter. They’re just loving you… because I’m loving you through them.”
At our last Hike & Heal, one of the ladies said something that stuck with me. She said, “We tell God He can’t love us the way we want because we say, ‘Well, God, You can’t hug me.’” And God responded to her heart and said, “Who can’t?” Then He sent someone to hug her.
That moment changed my perspective completely. God’s been doing the same thing for me, sending His love through His children.
He’s been answering my love languages in the sweetest ways:
Friends taking me to the spa. Someone surprising me with a matcha (shoutout to my hunny for that one).
Quality time with people who genuinely want to be around me.
Random blessings, like boxes of brand-new clothes that came out of nowhere.
God’s like, “See? I can love you in every way you’ve desired—and I’ll use people to show you.”
Learning to Rest in Love
When you’ve spent most of your life giving, it can feel awkward to receive. You almost feel guilty for being cared for. But God is saying, “You’ve poured enough. Now it’s time to be filled.”
The song that’s been stuck in my head lately is “Let Me Love You” by Mario. I promise you, God’s been singing it over me.“You should let me love you, let me be the one to give you everything you want and need…”
That’s exactly what He’s been saying: “Let Me love you. Let Me show you I can meet your every need.”
He’s teaching me that this season isn’t punishment, it’s preparation. He’s positioning me to receive love, care, and provision so that when the next season comes, I know what healthy, godly love looks like, without fear, striving, or anxiety.
Encouragement: Learning to Receive Again
For many of us who’ve spent years being the strong one, the giver, the helper, the encourager, stepping into a season of receiving can feel uncomfortable. It almost feels wrong to rest when you’re used to pouring out. But God is saying, “This is your time to be filled.”
Here’s what I want to encourage you with:
You’re not being selfish, you’re being restored. You can’t pour from an empty cup. This isn’t a season of withdrawal; it’s a season of replenishment. God is trying to refill what’s been poured out for years.
Receiving is still obedience. Sometimes saying “yes” to help, love, or provision is just as spiritual as saying “yes” to service. Letting God love you through others is still God loving you.
Don’t resist what you prayed for. You asked God for peace, rest, partnership, provision, and support, and now He’s answering through people. Don’t let pride, fear, or past hurt make you reject what’s actually His response.
Release control and receive grace. Anxiety in this season often comes from trying to earn what God wants to freely give. You don’t have to prove your worthiness to receive love or blessings. Just posture your heart with gratitude and trust.
Shift your identity from “used” to “chosen.” You’re not being used anymore, you’re being poured into. God saw every moment you gave when no one gave back, and now He’s sending people and opportunities to restore you.
“And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
- Philippians 4:19
Prayer
Lord, teach me to rest in Your love without guilt. Help me receive with open hands what You’re freely giving, peace, provision, love, and restoration. Remind me that being cared for is not weakness; it’s divine alignment. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Call to Action
If you’ve been in a “well season,” I want to challenge you this week to let God love you back.
Say yes when someone offers help.
Accept the compliment.
Receive the blessing without apology.
Thank God out loud for the little things.

Because sometimes, the stillness isn’t about waiting, it’s about receiving.
God’s saying to you (and to me): “You should let Me love you.”
With faith and love,
Chassidy
